A costal road away from the sea
Second last day of riding before the Canberra break and I was relishing the Sapphire Costal ride, The little I had seen of the sea was quite nice and I hoped that I could get more excited about Australia thanks to a few good coast views.

I quickly realised though that the costal road was not too close to the coast, it was in fact in the middle of the Mimosa Rocks National Park. This however did not diminish the enjoyment as the forest was splendid and it was a treat to ride the undulating road.

This part of the country is a lot more like New Zealand and the legs are now remembering the pain and tribulations I went trough in the land of the long white cloud. Fortunately the tendons pain is now diminishing and I am not using the spray anymore, which is great as the instructions said to contact a doctor if the problem persisted.

In a little more than 4 hours I got in sight of my destination, with only one serious pause in the day I was quite looking forward to stop and when it came I was well pleased to see that the camp had both a large TV and a sofa where I am planning to sink myself tonight for a few hours before retiring to my lovely tent.

When the weather is good and it stays above 3ยบ C camping in my tent is really a treat, when I get my new tent and my new sleeping bag I’ll be able to widely extend the range of the camping enjoyment.
